Darlene Pridgen Fallows, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, in Goldsboro, NC. Born on January 29, 1966, Darlene's vivacious spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her throughout her 58 years of life.
Darlene’s early years in life were filled with the love of books and the joy of nurturing the earth in her garden. Her passion for literature and nature was only matched by the love she had for her family. Darlene was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Ryan and Megan Fallows of Fremont, NC, who were the center of her universe. She instilled in them her wit, her love for life, and her appreciation for the simple pleasures that make life so precious.
She was the cherished daughter of Peggy Pridgen of Lucama, NC, who supported her through every chapter of her life. Darlene’s bond with her mother was unbreakable, and their shared moments will be treasured forever. Her brother, Randy Pridgen and his wife Terry of Pikeville, NC, will remember Darlene as the sister who always knew how to bring a smile to their faces. Her humor and sarcasm were the light in every family gathering, and her memory will continue to evoke smiles even in her absence.
Darlene’s life was also filled with the companionship of her adored dogs, Brady, Willow, Bell, Piper, lil Pip, and Loic. They were not just pets but members of her family, each one cherished for their unique personalities and the unconditional love they provided. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and the patter of paws, a true reflection of Darlene's nurturing heart.
Known for her quick wit and ability to find humor in every situation, Darlene was the person everyone turned to for a good laugh or a clever retort.
