David Allen Shadding

David Allen Shadding, 58, of Stantonsburg, NC passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Wilson Medical. Mr. Shadding was born February 26, 1964, in Wilson County, NC a son of the late Billy Shadding and Retha Mae Shadding.

David loved his mother more than he loved his 1967 Chevy Chevelle. He was a farmer and got great satisfaction watching the crops grow and riding tractors. David was also employed with Fairfield Fence Co. working alongside his life-long friend, Stanley Bailey. Mr. Shadding also loved his family, extended family and friends. He was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and a NASCAR fan. David was a dedicated Dale Earnhardt fan!

Surviving David are his sisters, Brenda Tripp and husband Daniel of Stantonsburg, NC and Crystal Jackson of Black Creek, NC. Also surviving are Allen, Destiny, Harley and Tamara, whom he shared the responsibility of raising with Debra and considered them his own children and five grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, In addition to his parents, Mr. Shadding was predeceased by Bill Jackson whom he considered like a father and had an enormous influence on his life. His brothers Ricky, Billy and Jimmy Shadding, and sister, Peggy
Shadding also predeceased him.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Stantonsburg Cemetery located in Stantonsburg, NC with the Reverend Tommy Hagan officiating.
