Obituary
Mrs. Debra J. Magill, 63, of Wilson, NC passed away on June 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC. She was born June 19, 1957, in Brookville, PA a daughter of the late John Mauk and Sharon Irwin. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Magill nurtured her family and had a love of literature that she passed to her children. Debra cared very deeply for her cats as their companionship brought her comfort and joy. In the words of Dr. Seuss “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” It has always been very clear that Debra saw death as a graduation of life and felt this should be a celebration of her time with us.
Surviving are her husband of Forty-three years Robert Magill of the home; sons, Clayton Magill and his wife, Krissy Peterson of Edinburgh, Scotland and Jordan Magill and his wife Mary of Philadelphia, PA; daughter, April Magill of Alamogordo, NM; brother, John Mauk of East Carlisle, PA; sister, Yvonne Haney of Tyrone, PA and Vickie Mauk of Brookville, PA; brother, Joe Mauk also of Brookville, PA. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Wilson, NC. PO Box 7064 Wilson, NC 27895.
