Obituary
Mr. Dossie Wayne Gardner, 59, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was born February 11, 1962, in Wilson, NC a son of the late James D. Gardner and Ila Johnson Gardner.
Dossie was a fixture at the American Legion for years where he loved to dance. A big NASCAR fan, Dossie was also involved within the local racing community, working with many teams buffing and shining cars.
Mr. Gardner is survived by his brother, Dickie Gardner, and sister, Jean Gardner; nephews, Jonathan Gardner, Tyler Gardner, and Brandon Gardner; nieces, Megan Evans and Morgan Evans; great niece, Ziaya Foxx. Dossie made many friends who will also cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Dossie was predeceased by his sister, Joan Gardner Evans; brother, Michael Sean Gardner, and great nephew Kaden Evans Fleming.
The family greatly appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
At the request of the family a celebration of Dossie’s life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
