Gyndaline Kay Koonce

Gyndaline Kay Koonce, 68, passed away at her residence on July 4, 2022. Ms. Koonce was born in Spokane, WA. August 19, 1953, the daughter of the late Wallace Wilson Koonce & Vera Ann Smith Koonce. Growing up the family traveled often as her dad was in the military.

Gyndaline was a devout Christian and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping for knickknacks and bargains at yard sales, consignment shops and especially the Goodwill store where she was known by name. Gyndaline will be missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.

Surviving Ms. Koonce is her daughter, Christina Schoen and husband, Kevin of Wilson, NC; brother, Wallace Koonce of Farmville, NC; granddaughters, Mindi Crump and husband Scott of Goldsboro, NC and Brooke Schoen of Chapel Hill; grandsons, Alan Scott and his wife, Yui of Durham, NC and Ross Schoen of Chapel Hill, NC; great grandchildren, Emily, Sean and Isaiah. Also surviving are specials family members, CW Crump of Elm City and Mary Lee Schoen of Durham, NC In addition to her parents Ms. Koonce was predeceased by her son, Jason Crump.

Services for Ms. Koonce will be at the convenience of the family.
