Julia Angela Portocarrero

Ms. Julia Angela Portocarrero, 61, of Wilson, NC passed away Monday August 23, 2021. She was born on February 19, 1960 in Managua, Nicaragua, a daughter of the late Carlos Portocarrero and Angela Portocarrero of San Angelo, TX. Julia lived in Wilson, NC for over twenty-two years with the love of her life Edgar. She was a active member for over six years with her church, Iglesia Christiana Redimidos por Gracia. She was a Christian woman, a warrior and a loving mother who loved her family. 

Julia is survived by  Edgar of the home; mother, Angela Portocarrero, sons, Alex Tapia and wife Yaira of Spring Hope, NC, Gerald Tapia of Wilson, NC; brothers, Felix Portocarrero of Okeechobee, FL, Jose Portocarrero of Miami, FL, Nicolas Portocarrero of Big Spring, Texas; sisters, Olga Peña of Big Spring, Texas, Karla Lugo of San Angelo, TX; grandsons, Jason Garcia, Jr. and Stevan Angulo all of Wilson, NC & AJ Tapia of Big Spring TX; granddaughters, Bianca and Katelyn Tapia, Yamila Hernandez of Wilson, NC, Alexis Tapia of Big Spring, TX, Ariel Tapia of San Antonio TX. Also surviving many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Julia is predeceased by her daughter, Suyen Tapia, sister Esperanza Portocarrero brother, Carlos Portocarrero, & nephew Luis Peña Jr.

A graveside service will be held Monday August 30, 2021 at 10 am in Hamilton Burial Gardens in Wilson, NC with pastor Santiago Cruz officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Iglesia Christiana Redimidos por Gracias. 4865 Nash St. Wilson, NC 27896.

Nació el 19 de febrero de 1960 en Managua, Nicaragua, es hija de difunto Carlos Portocarrero y Angela Portocarrero. Julia vivió en Wilson, NC por más de veintidós años con el amor de su vida Edgar. Fue miembra activa por seis años con la Iglesia Christiana Redimidos por Gracia. Era una mujer cristiana, una guerrera y una madre amorosa que amaba a su familia. 

 Julia es sobrevivida por Edgar de la casa; mama, Angela Portocarrero, hijos, Alex Tapia y su esposa Yaira de Spring Hope, NC, Gerald Tapia de Wilson, NC; hermanos, Felix Portocarrero de Okeechobee, FL, José Portocarrero de Miami, FL, Nicolas Portocarrero de Big Spring, Texas; hermanas, Olga Peña de Big Spring, Texas, Karla Lugo de San Angelo, TX; nietos, AJ Tapia de Big spring TX,  Jason García, Jr. y Stevan Angulo todos de Wilson, NC; nietas, Bianca y Katelyn Tapia y Yamila Hernandez de Wilson, NC, Alexis Tapia de Big Spring, TX, Ariel Tapia de San Antonio, TX y muchos familiares y amigos que la extrañarán mucho. Julia fue precedida en la muerte por su padre, Carlos Portocarerro, hija, Suyen Tapia hermana, Esperanza Portocarrero, hermano Carlos Portocarrero, y sobrino Luis Peña Jr.
