Maria Yolanda Muñiz Rodriguez

Mrs. Maria Yolanda Muñiz Rodriguez, 49, of Bailey, NC passed away on Monday August 9, 2021 at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Veracruz, MX on January 29, 1972 raised by her mother, Justina Rodríguez Rodriguez. Yolanda was married to the love of her life Joel Lopez for 30 years. She was a loving mother who loved her family more than anything and was looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild Elijah Baker. Yolanda enjoyed cooking up some delicious tamales, mole and much more. She was known for having a contagious beautiful smile that you couldn’t forget. .

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home is her father; Benigno Muñiz Rodriguez of Conway, SC; daughters, Areli Baker and husband Hayden of Fremont, NC; Kelly Zavaleta and her partner Sixto of Bailey, NC and her beloved chihuahua, Layla. Also surviving many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Yolanda is predeceased by her mother Justina Rodríguez Rodriguez and  biological mother Tomasa Benites Peréz

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm Friday August 13, 2021 at St. Therese Catholic Church 700 Nash St. N. Wilson, NC with Father Paul Brant officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Bailey Town Cemetery in Bailey, NC. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to American Kidney Fund. 11921 Rockville, MD 20852.Arrangements are in the care of Providence Funeral & Cremation Service 519 Broad St. W. Señora María Yolanda Muñiz Rodríguez, de 49 años, de Bailey, NC, falleció el lunes 9 de Agosto de 2021 en WakeMed en Raleigh, NC. Nació en Veracruz, México, el 29 de enero de 1972 criada por su madre, Justina Rodríguez Rodríguez. Yolanda estuvo casada con el amor de su vida Joel López por 30 años. Era una madre amorosa que amaba a su familia más que nada y estaba esperando el nacimiento de su primer nieto Elijah Baker. Yolanda disfrutaba cocinar deliciosos tamales, mole y mucho más. Ella era conocida por tener una hermosa sonrisa contagiosa que no era posible olvidar.

 Sobreviviendo además de su marido de la casa es su padre; Benigno Muñiz Rodríguez de Conway, SC; hijas, Areli Baker y esposo Hayden de Fremont, NC; Kelly Zavaleta y su pareja Sixto de Bailey, NC y su amada chihuahua, Layla y muchos familiares y amigos que la extrañarán mucho. Yolanda fue precedida en la muerte por su madre de crianza Justina Rodríguez Rodríguez y su madre biologica Tomasa Benites Pérez.

Una misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 2pm el viernes 13 de agosto de 2021 en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Theresa 700 Nash St. N. Wilson, NC con el Padre Paul Brant oficiando. La familia recibirá a los amigos una hora antes del servicio. El entierro seguirá el servicio en el Bailey Town Cemetery en Bailey, NC.
