Robert Eugene Thomas, 70, of Wilson, NC passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2021. He was born in Cumberland, MD, July 13, 1951, a son of Fred Thomas of Everett, PA, and the late Kathleen Potts Thomas. Most people knew him as Buck. He was a prankster and enjoyed gently tormenting special people he loved. At the same time, he was an incredibly generous person and went out of his way to help people in need. Buck enjoyed listening to music for hours and was a supporter of Save the Manatee for years. In addition to his wife and father, also surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Simmons and her husband John Simmons of Tallahassee, FL; son, Robert Thomas, II and his wife Kaelyn Thomas of Middlesex, NC; sister, Linda Kane of Bedford, PA; four grandchildren, Harrison Simmons, Skylar and Trevor Thomas and Jason Zimmerman. In addition to his mother, Robert was predeceased by his sister Diana and his two brothers Terry and James.
