Ronald “Ron” T. Armstrong, 59, of Wilson, North Carolina passed away, Friday, January 29,
2021.
Ronald T. Armstrong was born in a home birth, on January 31, in Chipley, Florida to father John Armstrong and mother Vera Jean Armstrong. In his early twenties he had the courage to move to New York City. He kept up with the fast paced city till he then, at the age of twenty- seven he moved to Atlanta. In Atlanta he established himself by obtaining a job as a civil servant, at Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority is a fundamental life line that supports the city’s public transportation. He personally contributed to serve the public by providing vital information in regards to daily transportation. He truly relished this job as it was not just a job to him; however, a way to support the citizens of Atlanta’s communities. His Greatest joy in life was being a devoted father to his two children. As The Lord commanded in Proverbs 22:6 King James. Proverbs 22:6 King James Version Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Following the teaching of The Lord God that as a Father he instilled values into his children's hearts; to give them a strong moral compass to navigate life. Later in life he attained his commercial drivers license. He worked as a commercial truck driver for twenty-seven years. In his Twenty-seven years as a commercial truck driver, his life’s greatest accomplishment: Driving A Million Miles With No Accidents. After driving trucks for twenty seven years, he Later Retired to North Carolina with his life partner, Sherron Gunn. As an avid fisherman he spent most of his weekends casting fishing lines. He would always return with multitudes of fish that he then hand filleted. He ensured that he always shared the day's catch with family and friends. In retirement He served as a community mentor that always listened. He somehow always knew what to say: his words of advice will be deeply missed by all. Ronald “Ron” T. Armstrong is survived by two Children Curonda Armstrong(Daughter) Ronald
Armstrong(Son), four Grandchildren Destiny Brooks, Elex Brooks, Elijah Brooks, Kenneth Armstrong and one Great- grand-daughter Amerrica Brook. Life Partner Sherron Gunn and one
step son Rashawn Gun.

A celebration of life will be held at Providence Funeral & Cremation Service on Saturday February 6, 2021 at Three o'clock in the afternoon. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in the care of Providence Funeral & Cremation Service 519 Broad St. W. Wilson, NC 27893.
