Ronald Lee Bailey, Sr., a beloved family man and respected member of the Sims, NC community, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023. Born on May 7, 1955, in Wilson, NC, Ronald's life was marked by his unwavering faith, love for his family, and a dedicated work ethic that saw him contribute significantly to his community.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Ransom Bailey and Aileen Lamm, as well as his brothers, Jerry Bailey and Robert Bailey. He is survived by his son, Ronald Bailey, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Sims, NC. Ronald also leaves behind his brother, Gary Bailey, and his sisters, Shirley Bunn, Bonnie Bissette, and Mary High, all of Bailey, NC.

His legacy continues through his grandsons, Jordan Bailey and his wife Megan of Manchester, England, and his granddaughters, Kristen Lewis and her husband Taylor of Kenly, NC, and Kalyn Bailey and Zach of Wilson, NC. His great-grandson, Greyson "Bug" Lewis of Kenly, NC, will remember his great-grandfather's friendly demeanor and handy skills.

Ronald spent his entire life working in heavy equipment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a dedication to his craft. For over twenty years, he was a trusted truck driver for Bunn's Trucking, where his reliability and commitment were highly valued. His colleagues and friends will remember him as a reliable and hardworking individual who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

A God-fearing man, Ronald's faith was an integral part of his life. He was known for his strong moral compass and his unwavering commitment to his beliefs. His love for his family was evident in his every action, and he took great pride in their accomplishments. His dogs, Jake and Pete, were constant companions and brought him great joy.

Those who knew Ronald will remember him as a friendly and handy individual. His ability to fix almost anything was well known in his community, and he was often called upon to lend his skills. His friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure, and his absence will be keenly felt by all who knew him.

In remembering Ronald Lee Bailey, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by faith, family, and a dedication to service. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the community that he served so well.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the home.
