Ruby Mae (Finn) Chandler

Ruby Mae Finn Chandler, 90, of Wilson passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Wilson Medical Center. Mrs. Chandler was born September 8, 1930 in Nash County, NC a daughter of the late Percy Finn, Sr. and Minnie Brantley Finn. Ruby enjoyed gardening, flowers and a good homegrown tomato. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley. In addition to her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her husband William R. Chandler, a son, Tim Swain and daughter, Theresa S. Pierce. Survivors include her sons, Bruce Swain (Theresa) of Wilson, N.C. and Tony Swain of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Percy Finn Jr. (Betty) of Hawthorne, FL; sister, Virginia Ellis of Wilson, NC. Also surviving Mrs. Chandler are Ten Grandsons; One Granddaughter; Twenty-one Great Grand Children and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Eleven o’clock in the morning in Evergreen Memorial Park with her nephew Reverend Jackie Raper officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 202 N. Goldsboro St., Wilson, NC 27893 or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
