Sheila Diane Little

Sheila Diane Little, 69, passed away September 27, 2022, at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC. Sheila was born June 24, 1953, in Wilson, NC a daughter of the late Joseph Powell Little and Geraldine Braswell Little.

Ms. Little was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College (ACC) with a major in history. She enjoyed piano music and was an avid book reader, which lead to her career as a librarian at the Wilson County Public Library where she retired with over thirty years of service. Sheila was very proactive in her career, driving the bookmobile and participating in the Outreach Services program which helped put books in the hands of our senior citizens. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and was a member of the Optimist Club of Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory are sister, Vickie Little Barnes of Wilson, NC; brothers, Joseph Renn Little of Saratoga, NC and Johnny Cleveland Little, II and his wife, Debbie all of Saratoga, NC; sister, Nikki Michelle Little of Wilson, NC; nieces Erica Little of Black Creek, NC and Rhiannon Stallings and Lindsey Pridgen both from Saratoga, NC. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews and many loving members of the Braswell family and her special furry companion, Drake. In addition to her parents Sheila was predeceased by her nephew, Tyson Barnes earlier this year.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 3:00 pm in Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson, NC. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Wilson County Public Library 249 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27893. Arrangements are in the care of Providence Funeral & Cremation Service 519 Broad St. W. Wilson, NC 27893.
